Painted rooms, real locks, one way out.
Clavis is a series of illustrated escape rooms. Explore painted scenes, pick up what was left behind, read the clues and work the mechanisms until the door gives. Episode 1, The Night Register: a grand seaside hotel on the night before it closes for good, where the night porter tagged everything the guests forgot, and one guest was written out of the book.
Tap anything that looks like it could matter. Objects you pick up go to the bar at the bottom: tap one to hold it, then tap where you want to use it. Close-ups open on drawers, panels and papers; the back arrow returns to the room. Everything you have read waits in the Notes. Stuck? The hint button gives four steps, from a nudge to the answer; each step costs points, and nothing else does except checked mistakes.
